Please note the bar will shut at 10 on Hogmany , please bring your own drink and food if you want to see the bells in the club , these hours could change at short notice due to the COVID situation .

There is a sheet posted in the club regarding club tops , tops are available to try on .

this will allow us to get and order sent away .

PLEASE STAY SAFE AND CONTINUE WILL LATERAL FLOW TESTING , WE HAVE ALLOWED THE NHS TO USE THE CLUB CAR PARK FOR THE LAST FEW MONDAYS TO ALLOW DISTRUBTION , THE TIMES HAVE BEEN ALTERED IN RECENT WEEKS AND ARE USUALLY POSTED ON THE MENSTRIE COMUNITY PAGE

Please note i see i made a mistake with the money that was raised it 321 pound but still a great amount

Also the pool team are at home on Thursday so the bar will be open , there is Europa leagues games on tv that night as well

The psychic evening went well on Friday the 3 rd of December , 350 pounds was raised for CHAS , Well done to Sharon and Margaret on there efforts , many thanks to all those who attended and donated raffle prizes .

People have been asking about bar opening times over the festive period there is a committee meeting on Tues this will be decided there, but please not this may change at short notice with the on going COVID situation .

The key fob situation has been resolved and the fobs will be handed back out , it would be great help if when you get them you could put your bag in the locker , this will let us see what we can bin or relocate for use by visitors .

The new club top has arrived , we have a mixture of sizes which can be tried on before we start taking orders ,

Mitch with the new top medium size , gravy stains will not be seen

The popular psychic night is on Friday the 3rd of December and is ticket only

it has been sold out

The bar will be open its normal hours on Sunday .

we are still trying to source a joiner to begin the locker room refurbishment if anyone knows a reliable tradesman please let us know .

the financial year ends on the 30th of November , after many years service Jim holden no longer makes up our balance sheet , we will need to source someone to do it in preparation for the AGM next year .

as you have read in the papers a new variant of covid will be circulating shortly so please stay safe over the festive months

JUST ANOTHER REMINDER OF THE PRESENTATION NIGHT SAT 20TH NOV 7 FOR 730

Katie Whittaker will be performing after the presentation of prizes. there will be a buffet

All paid for by the club so why not come along and enjoy a good night

We still require a few keyfobs back in to get the door entry system up and running correctly

The old lockers have been removed and the refurbishment will be starting soon .

We would like to thank the community council for there help it getting a micro grant of 100 pounds , this will be used to add to the summer of well being programme that was run by the Dumyat centre , we borrowed equipment from Stirling indoor bowling club last year the grant will allow us to buy our own

The BAR will be open the usual 1 till 6 today also on thus this week , the pool team has a free week but intend to get a bit of practice in so why not pop along for a game and a beer

Katie Whittaker has been booked through Encore music to play at the presentation night on Saturday the 20TH of NOVEMBER, she plays an acoustic set then more lively covers after the break .

Lorna is doing the buffet would be a great help if you could add names to the sheet to let her know how many to cater for

It would great if all price winners turned up on the night.

We have replaced the cellar cooler so hopefully save a bit of money and the bar area should be a lot quieter to work in, we plan also to fit a new dishwasher to make it easier and improve glass cleaning,

We will decide on whats happening with the locker room soon and make ask for help to decorate . many hands make light work,

the pool team is at home this week so why not pop in for a pint , they are still looking for players if there is anyone interested

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THERE SUPPORT OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS ON BEHALF OF MYSELF AND DEBS FAMILY

I have just sent away 400 pound to the British heart foundation on Debs behalf that was collected at the funeral thank you for your donations , Deb had some heart issues and was nearly on the path to getting things sorted out

The pool league has started and the club will be open every second Thursday , will update details when i get the fixtures , so why not pop in the Europa league games will be on the big screen .

On the club front we still hope to a have a presentation night on the 20th of NOV please pop into the club and add your name if interested .

The locker room is nearly empty in preparation for decorating and the key fob saga is getting closer to having 50 working , if you could try and fit your bags in your new lockers it would be most helpful , we have bags and bowls that look like they have not been used for years .

Its with sad news . Deborah who has written this blog for a while passed away yesterday after a battle with COVID.

While not a member of the club she made a massive contribution to the administration side of the club , with letters , notices and filling in grant forms,

Her writing skills were excellent , she would be shaking her head seeing my attempt to do this .

I will try and continue her blog to try and update members but will be no where near the same standards
