UPDATE

BOWLING CLUB – UPDATE!

It looks highly unlikely that we will be open again this year and as a result we have Beer/Lager that will go out of date before then. We’ve given this some thought and in an attempt to try and empty the cellar we have purchased a number of 4 Pint Plastic containers!

Ashley will be in the Bowling Club on Thursday 5th November from 5pm to 6pm to fill the plastic containers and we will be charging £10 per 4pint container.

We will try this again over the weekend if there is interest so feedback/comments are most welcome!

THURSDAY NIGHT, 8th OCTOBER

Tomorrow night, 8th October will be the last night that the Bar will be open following the latest orders from the Scottish Government.

As a result we will be selling Pints for £2 (from open kegs only) We will not be opening any new kegs so when it’s gone it’s gone!!

So why not pop along for a Pint or two and watch the Scotland game before all pubs close for some weeks, (who knows how long “three weeks” could extend to!!)

Please Note – The Bar will open at 6pm and NOT 7pm as previously advertised!

CLUB PAIRS FINAL

PLAYED on TUESDAY 29th SEPTEMBER

The Club Pairs Final was contested over the usual 3 set format.

James Allan & Mitchell Wilson played Ian Anderson & Scott Syme.

The first two sets were shared and the game went to the final set. The first two ends were shared before James and Mitchell won the final end to take the trophy.

The final set was played in darkness which made it difficult for both pairs!

CLOSING DAY

Saturday 26th September 2020!

The Club had it’s CLOSING DAY last Saturday, 26th September and there were blue skies and sunshine for most of the day!

24 Bowlers played 17 ends of triples and it was good to see some Ladies and Social members on the Green.

A.Wilson, J. Brown and E.Stalker were the Sweep Winners!

Club President John Stalker gave his speech thanking staff, members and committee for their support through a difficult year.

THERE IS A PLANNED FRIENDLY GAME NEXT SUNDAY, 4th OCTOBER at 13.30pm

ALL WELCOME!!!!

The remaining Club Pairs Final will be played on Tuesday 29th September at 6pm

The Bar will be open Thurs & Friday 7pm – 10pm

Saturday 1pm – 6pm

Sunday 1pm -6pm

Bar hours will then revert back to winter hours!

TWO BOWLS PAIRS FINAL!

COLIN DRUMMOND AND CALUM MACLEOD WON THE FIRST FINAL OF THE YEAR AGAINST JAMES ALLAN AND MITCHELL WILSON ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

JAMES AND MITCHELL WERE 3 UP PLAYING THE LAST END BUT COLIN TRAILED THE WHITE TO TAKE THE GAME TO AN EXTRA END. THEY CONTINUED THE COMEBACK BY WINNING THE EXTRA END TO CONTINUE THEIR IMPRESSIVE RECORD IN THE TWO BOWL PAIRS!
